Have you been wondering who the shaman I am pictured with on my websites is? He is a member of the Auga Indian tribe. When I visited the tribe, there were just very old people and very young children. All of the teenagers and middle-aged people had moved to the nearby villages and therefore “moved-up” in the local society’s structure. As a result of this I am told this tribe will be “extinct” within ten years. By supporting this shaman in his work—providing funds, I am hoping to slow down this migration by showing his tribe the importance of his work to the world. Hopefully this will give some of the young people in his tribe the incentive to follow in his foot steps so his knowledge and wisdom are not lost to the world. Join me on my next adventure in the Amazon jungle and meet this interesting man before it is too late.
